Additional Information
The Canadian trumpeter Jens Lindemann is a virtuoso to whom few challenges are daunting. The former member of the famous Canadian Brass plays everything, because labels matter little to him. On June 12, 2026, he will be at the Bourgie Hall for the concert The World According to Sinatra, Ellington, and Gershwin, scheduled by the Montreal Chamber Music Festival. For the occasion, he will be accompanied by a big band made up of seasoned Montreal musicians. I met the friendly musician. We talked about music, of course, but also about the 32 trumpets lost in the destruction of his house during the California fires in 2025, the most difficult pieces he has ever played, and the fact that he came very close to never playing music (thanks to his mother who forced him to persevere).
