Additional Information
On Saturday, August 22 at 7:30 PM, Domaine Forget will resonate with the sounds of a French repertoire ranging from Baroque to Romantic, under the baton of Mathieu Lussier. Offenbach, Gounod, Rameau, Lully, and even a composition by King Louis XIII (in addition to two universals like Mozart and Gluck) will be, among others, on the program, along with a few discoveries by Hervé, Clérembault, Halévy, etc. Lussier will conduct the Violons du Roy, to which will be added the Singers and Chamber Orchestra of the Academy, the Pentaèdre quintet, and the soloists Magali Simard-Galdès (soprano) and Pierre Derhet (tenor). So, a lot of people, for a program entitled Flowers and Crowns, in homage to a poem by Jacques Prévert. I talked about all this with conductor Mathieu Lussier.
