As part of the Souk du Sud Festival, we discover artists with diverse backgrounds who share a passion for creativity and a desire to share their artistic worlds. This year, I invite you to discover Emmanuelle Boucher, a singer-songwriter who has been active in the Quebec music scene for over ten years. After several years as a performer and a notable stint on *La Voix*, she chose to fully embrace her identity as an artist and own her country sound. Since then, she has been developing her own repertoire and performing at renowned venues, including LASSO and the Festival Western de St-Tite. In 2025, she released her second album, *Ma route*, a title that aptly sums up her journey and the choices that have brought her this far. Today, we’ll talk about perseverance, music, her career, and above all, that moment when you decide to follow your own path. Keithy Antoine spoke with Emmanuelle Boucher, who will be on stage at the Souk du Sud on Saturday, September 5, at 4 p.m.
