Screaming Headless Torsos est le projet phare du guitariste David Fiuczynski, alias Fuze. Dès leur premier album paru chez Warner, l’énergie brute et la virtuosité fulgurante du groupe les propulse au rang de phénomène culte. Leur funk-rock-jazz-world-fusion inclassable, à la fois déjanté et d’une précision redoutable, fédère un public fidèle et marque durablement plusieurs générations de musiciens à travers le monde. Fuze est reconnu comme l’un des grands spécialistes de la guitare fretless et des musiques microtonales. Il enseigne au prestigieux Berklee College of Music de Boston. Il a joué aux côtés de John Zorn, Jack DeJohnette, Dennis Chambers, Stewart Copeland, JoJo Mayer, John Medeski, Hiromi et Marcus Miller. Trente ans après l’album fondateur 1995 qui révélait l’énergie contagieuse du groupe et la virtuosité hors norme de Fuze et sa bande, Screaming Headless Torsos se présente au CEM dans une formation renouvelée, mais toujours aussi explosive.
