Returning to Montreal for an exclusive evening performance and, as always, excited to reconnect with her African roots, Cossa has invited Zal Sissokho, with whom she had the pleasure of sharing the stage in her native Brazil. Through his music, Sissokho—a Mandinka Griot and kora player—wonderfully combines his openness to the world with his desire to preserve his culture and the oral traditions of West Africa’s peoples.
