Officially running from June 27 to August 22, the Domaine Forget International Festival has been underway since early June. PAN M 360 is a partner of this event, held in Saint-Irénée in Charlevoix, which transforms into a music paradise every summer.
Among other big names, Domaine Forget will host saxophonist Steven Banks (June 26), pianist Benedetto Lupo (June 28), the vocal ensemble Voces 8 (July 3), classical guitarists Gaëlle Solal and Jason Vieaux (July 4), the Hochelaga Trio (July 11), the National Arts Centre Orchestra conducted by Kensho Watanabe (July 18), the Orchestre Métropolitain and its renowned maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin (July 24 and 25), the National Youth Orchestra of Canada (July 31), tenor Marc Hervieux in a retrospective of his career (August 8), Les Violons du Roy conducted by its founder and music director Bernard Labadie in concert with the Pentaèdre ensemble and the Domaine Forget Academy Chamber Orchestra, united in a program titled “Immortal Vienna.” The closing concert (August 27) will be conducted by Mathieu Lussier, a sort of culmination bringing together the Academy Chamber Orchestra, the Academy’s singers, Les Violons du Roy, and Pentaèdre. When it seems like it’s over, there’s still more to come!
