Additional Information
She is 22 years old. She is Haitian. She has lived in Montreal since 2020. And on May 1, 2026, she released her debut single, “Bye Bye,” under the label Général Walky Productions. Born Dorlèan Saadaèlle, Shady first began singing in church in Haiti and later in Montreal. But it was the call of zouk and konpa music that inspired her to launch her solo project, a genre she listened to extensively during the pandemic. After being part of several Haitian groups as a backing vocalist and singer, she learned from all these experiences and also benefited from the guidance of Poppy Duverne, a renowned pianist I mentioned a few years ago, at the 2024 Afropolitan Nomad Festival. Shady is therefore in good hands and has surrounded herself with professionals to launch her career. Sandra Gasana was able to speak with Shady to learn a little more about her journey for PAN M 360.
