Additional Information
Originally from Guadeloupe, Marvin Caleb is part of a new generation of artists redefining Afro-Caribbean sounds. As a singer-songwriter and producer, he has been shaping a musical world since childhood where zouk, Afrobeat, R&B, and hip-hop blend together naturally. Inspired by artists ranging from Bob Marley to Admiral T, he developed a passion for music creation at a very young age through beatboxing and production. Following Love, Engage in 2023 and Smiley Days in 2024, he released Siwo Boy in 2025—a deeply personal project that celebrates his roots, his perseverance, and the journey he’s taken despite his doubts. A nominee for the 2026–2027 Radio-Canada New Artists Awards, Marvin Caleb continues his rise with a distinct artistic identity.
To mark his appearance at the Montreal International Jazz Festival, we’re sitting down with him to talk about his career, his influences, and the music that bridges cultures.
