Suite au succès de sa première édition, le concert Chaconne et chocolat nous plonge à nouveau dans l’univers envoutant de la chaconne mais cette fois-ci, en Italie au 17e siècle. La chaconne, danse très prisée pendant plusieurs siècles, fascine par la simplicité de sa composition : un motif de basse continuellement répété tout le long de l’œuvre, de façon presque hypnotisante, sur laquelle viennent se poser une ou plusieurs voix qui peuvent ainsi fleurir, discourir ou être improvisées. En Italie, la chaconne sera marquée du sceau de la virtuosité extrême de ces voix supérieures.

Following the success of its first edition, the Chaconne and Chocolate concert plunges us once again into the captivating universe of chaconne, but this time in 17th century Italy. For several centuries, the chaconne remained most popular and fascinated many through the simplicity of its composition. A bass motif repeats continuously throughout the performance, in an almost hypnotic way, on which one or more voices come to rest and thus come to blossom, discourse or improvised. In Italy, the chaconne is marked by the virtuosity of these superior voices.
