If you appreciate the work of the legendary composer and trombonist Vinko Globokar, here’s an outing that will not leave you indifferent. Here the composer conducts his music performed by the Norwegian ensemble BIT20, the fruit of a collaboration that began several years ago. The investment of these interpreters in this music is remarkable. and the three pieces that appear on the album are of excellent quality. For sensitive ears, however, although this music is tinged with the refreshing humour typical of Globokar, it is in line with the “hard” European contemporary music: virtuosity, extreme sounds, advanced playing techniques, exploded discourse, organized chaos – in short, no rest! But inventiveness to spare and some very funny moments too (special mention to the particularly successful barking and meowing of the extraordinary soprano Alwynne Pritchard).
