They came together in early 2025, after meeting at school, and had the desire to cultivate their shared musical passions in a quartet of vocals, guitars, keyboards, and percussion. They revisit a musical heritage of the Indian subcontinent (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka) such as Sufi fusion, bhangra, Bollywood music, and pop in general. Together, they call themselves Le Qalifa, which means journey in Arabic. Discover this festive group with me.

Le Qalifa will give a concert at the Sherbrooke World Traditions Festival on August 15.
