Figure8 alias Louis-Philippe Parent est un producteur/beatmaker, ingénieur de son et DJ œuvrant sur la scène musicale depuis près de 20 ans. Il se fait d’abord connaître au sein du trio Omnikrom. Rapidement remarqué avec leur deux premiers EP, c’est avec l’album TROP BANANE qu’ils se mériteront le Félix de l’année 2007 dans la catégorie Hip-Hop. Figure8 enchaîne alors les tournées avec Omnikrom aux quatre coins du Québec et de l’Europe francophone et accumule les collaborations avec des artistes d’ici et d’ailleurs tels que TTC, Cœur de Pirate, Hugo Mudie, Ariane Moffat et bien d’autres.
Q-052 est un rappeur et activiste mi’gmaq de Gesgapegiag, en Gaspésie. Il a été nominé pour Artiste autochtone de l’année au Gala de l’ADISQ en 2021, au Gala Teweikan 2022 dans les catégories Artiste/groupe de musique d’expression et Artiste/groupe de blues ou rock ainsi qu’au GAMIQ 2022 dans la catégorie Album Hip-Hop.
Voir Sensei H présenter l’album Trop de chance sur scène, c’est franchir la porte d’un univers distinct découlant d’une seule et même intention : créer comme si rien n’existait. Jamais vous n’assisterez à 2 shows de Sensei H identiques, car l’artiste se permet une authenticité et vulnérabilité, tantôt déstabilisante, tantôt inspirante, qui la rapproche instantanément de son public. Q-052 is a Mi’gmaq rapper and activist from Gesgapegiag, Gaspé. He has been nominated for Aboriginal Artist of the Year at the 2021 ADISQ Gala, at the 2022 Teweikan Gala in the Expressive Music Artist/Group and Blues/Rock Artist/Group categories, and at the 2022 GAMIQ in the Hip-Hop Album category.
To see Sensei H present the album Trop de chance on stage is to enter a distinct universe stemming from a single intention: to create as if nothing existed. You will never see two identical Sensei H shows, because the artist allows herself an authenticity and vulnerability, sometimes destabilizing, sometimes inspiring, that brings her instantly closer to her audience.
