Arrive BéLi avec une pop vive et tiraillée, corporelle et entêtante, qui est le fruit d’un besoin de créer en explorant. Résolument éclectique, elle canalise sa colère et ses facettes moins reluisantes en confrontant la pudeur et en visant bousculer le statu quo de la féminité. Sur scène, BéLi et son band manifestent une attitude décomplexée, mettant en lumière le déploiement d’une pop alternative aussi singulière et exaltante que déstabilisante. Son premier album, XUV, coréalisé avec Blaise Borboën-Léonard (Lydia Képinski, Mort Rose, Nicolet…) et Nader Abouzeid (alias Funkywhat -notamment connu pour son travail avec Magi Merlin), paraît le 27 septembre 2024 sous l’étiquette Duprince.
BéLi arrives with a lively, tugging, bodily, heady pop that’s the fruit of a need to create by exploring. Quinze ans après ses débuts en solo, Marie-Pierre Arthur revient avec Album bleu, un cinquième opus façonné avec une attention minutieuse et un désir d’intensité maîtrisée. Entourée de son complice de toujours François Lafontaine et du réalisateur Sébastien Blais-Montpetit, elle explore chaque piste créative avec liberté et curiosité. Pour la première fois, elle ouvre aussi la porte à d’autres voix : les autrices Amylie et Carole Facal, ainsi que Mantisse et Rau_Ze, apportent fraîcheur et pluralité aux textes. Connue d’abord comme bassiste, Marie-Pierre Arthur a imposé sa signature pop-rock depuis 2009 avec des albums comme Aux alentours, Si l’aurore et Des feux pour voir. Avec Album bleu, paru chez Simone Records en 2024, elle poursuit sa quête d’équilibre entre émotion brute et groove rassembleur. Sa voix y trouve encore une fois un écrin sur mesure, chaque mot s’imbriquant avec soin dans des mélodies justes et vibrantes. Au printemps 2025, elle dévoile Album bleu (Deluxe), enrichi de collaborations sensibles, dont Klô Pelgag sur Sœurs, ainsi qu’une nouvelle chanson, Brille autant. Co-produced with longtime collaborator and partner François Lafontaine and newcomer Sébastien Blais-Montpetit, the record distills years of ideas into an elegant and powerful collection. Originaire de Terrebonne, Jay Scøtt est un auteur-compositeur-interprète polyvalent dont le style unique oscille entre pop, rap et folk. Chanteur, beatmaker, guitariste (à l’envers !) et anciennement connu sous le nom PL3, il marque la scène québécoise depuis plus d’une décennie. Ses chansons, imprégnées de références culturelles et de mélodies accrocheuses, explorent les hauts et les bas du quotidien avec une sincérité désarmante. Révélé au grand public grâce à Copilote en duo avec FouKi, morceau devenu un véritable phénomène (double platine, chanson la plus écoutée au Québec en 2021), Jay Scøtt enchaîne les succès.
