Michael Tilson Thomas : Monumental en webdiffusion

Classical
Webdiffusion - Montréal 20$
· by Rédaction PAN M 360

On the occasion of his residency with the OSM, the celebrated American conductor Michael Tilson Thomas offers us a deeply moving, highly emotional program. Brahms’ Tragic Overture, a symphonic whirlwind evoking the German Sturm und Drang estheticgives way to Grieg’s passionate and poetic “The Last Spring,” which is drawn from the Norwegian composer’s Two Elegiac Melodies. Schubert’s Symphony no. 9 brings this monumental program to a close with the utmost majesty and grandeur.
