Joy As An Act of Resistance

The British group IDLES use challenging punk energy to tackle various burning social issues, such as toxic masculinity, acceptance of oneself and others, or immigration. The fight is led by singer Joe Talbot, who shares his thoughts in a sincere but uncompromising way, thanks to his powerful, hoarse and raspy voice, accompanied by sharp guitar riffs. Like the post-punk group Savages, IDLES invites us to rethink the representations of men and women in the context of the 21st century.
