Jamaican-born singer and guitarist Robin Kerr (Uprising) rejoins his mixed sons, born to a black father and white mother, Greg (Snail Kid) and David (Jam) Beaudin-Kerr of Dead Obies, K6A, Jam and P-Dox fame. Rappers and beatmakers, the sons created the concept: tie together English and French, link roots reggae and dancehall to hip-hop culture and other related genres, starting with soul/R&B. Two generations express and experience cultural hybridization through its inherent themes and the musical crossbreeds emanating from it. With the support of Toast Dawg and other members of the big rap keb family, Brown Family offers a whole set of hyphens, much to our undistilled delight.
