Chanteuse, auteure-compositrice et guitariste, Mei Semones crée une pop indie sophistiquée aux accents de jazz, de bossa nova et de math rock. Basée à Brooklyn, elle a sorti son premier EP, Tsukino, en 2022. On y retrouve des paroles en japonais et en anglais, une approche qu’elle a poursuivie sur ses sorties suivantes, dont Kabutomushi en 2024, son premier EP sous le label indépendant brooklynois Bayonet Records.
