Le bassiste new-yorkais John Menegon a commencé sa carrière en jouant de la basse à Montréal. Après avoir travaillé pendant plusieurs années sur la scène jazz canadienne avec les grands guitaristes Sonny Greenwich, Mike Gauthier et Nelson Simons, et les saxophonistes Steve Grossman et Pat LaBarbara, il s’est perfectionné à NYC au milieu des années 80.
Ils présenteront des compositions originales ainsi que de la musique de Dewey Redman, Paul Bley et quelques standards du jazz.
New York City bassist John Menegon started his career playing bass in Montreal. After having worked for several years on the Canadian jazz scene with the great guitarists Sonny Greenwich, Mike Gauthier & Nelson Simons, and saxophonists Steve Grossman & Pat LaBarbara, he went on to hone his skills in NYC in the mid-80s.
They will present original compositions as well as music from Dewey Redman, Paul Bley and a few jazz standards.
