Sounding a bit like the bummer gaze of Nothing, Whirr, and newcomer, Wisp, Sea Shapes is the dark shoegaze lone project of Steven Kurmemaj from Brooklyn, NY. The lyrics in “everyday it rains” feel a bit sleep deprived, adding to the listless, moody atmosphere of the track and the heavy fuzz-out guitars push deeper into the nightmare. An excellent track for wallowing in your own misery for 4 minutes.
