Whitney K est le pilier errant Konner Whitney, un résident de Whitehorse au Yukon qui a passé du temps à Vancouver, Montréal, Burnaby et Los Angeles. Maintenant installé à Montréal, Konner Whitney a lancé son dernier album Hard to be a God le 13 mai.

Whitney K is the wandering stalwart Konner Whitney, a Whitehorse Yukon resident who has spent time in Vancouver, Montreal, Burnaby and Los Angeles. Now based in Montreal, Konner Whitney released his latest album Hard to be a God on may 13.

Eliza Niemi

Eliza Niemi a commencé sur la riche scène musicale d’Halifax avec les groupes pop expérimentaux New Love Underground et Mauno au milieu des années 2010, puis elle a soutenu les artistes Le Ren, Quaker Parents et Evan J. Cartwright. Grâce aux rythmes des tournées et à l’étincelle brillante qui est partagée dans les échanges musicaux, Eliza a trouvé et développé des connexions à travers les communautés musicales du Canada. Ces moments de collaboration alimentent sa pratique créative, qu’elle joue en solo ou en groupe.

Honed guitar, piano, cello and vocal skills make Eliza an ideal collaborator: starting in Halifax’s rich music scene with the mid-2010s experimental pop groups New Love Underground and Mauno, and later in her role supporting artists Le Ren, Quaker Parents and Evan J. Cartwright. Through the rhythms of touring and the brilliant spark that’s shared in musical exchange, Eliza found and developed connections across Canada’s DIY music communities. These collaborative moments fuel her creative practice, whether playing solo or in an ensemble.

Heaven For Real are striving for reality. That is, the way light hits your eyes in the fraction of a second that it does, letting you experience meaning that is always in motion. Heaven For Real linger there, unfolding some minuscule truth not in search of revelation but simply to let it breathe.
