Combining the lyricism of chamber music, the raw sounds of punk or metal, the clarity of post rock and the abstraction of electroacoustic music, Dionée offers a unique cinematic musical journey. The trio with its varied instrumentation has created, with Mille-feuilles, an astonishing work with an orchestral feel in which oboe, accordion and electric bass dialogue with a panoply of electronic instruments and effects.

This musical and documentary creation explores displacement, borders, and identity through an embodied, field-based approach. Centered on the flute and enriched by electronics, documentary sound, and collected voices, the project weaves contemporary musical writing with lived narratives shaped by departure and migration. Testimonies gathered in border territories — notably around the Mediterranean and along the U.S.–Mexico border — become a core artistic material, transformed and fragmented through sound and instrumental gesture. The stage form moves beyond the concert format to create an immersive experience, where the performer’s body, space, and sound are in constant dialogue. Positioned at the intersection of the political and the intimate, Les gens qui partent does not seek to explain but to evoke, opening a space of deep listening for voices that are often unheard or marginalized.

Inspired by a passage from La vie habitable by Véronique Côté, Ce qui frémit is an invitation to slow down and listen to what resonates within us. Through harmonies and melodies of an astonishing familiarity, enhanced by the use of the right temperament, Patrick Giguère explores an intimate, sensitive and luminous listening. Performed by Marie-Loup Cottinet on viola da gamba and Daniel Áñez on synthesizers, this work invites us to reconnect with a fragile but essential part of ourselves.
