S’il puise sa source dans sa Kabylie natale, Ali Amran distille un savant mélange de genres qui fait l’originalité de sa musique. Au chant et à la guitare acoustique, il aborde un style dépouillé, sans fioriture. Ses chansons à textes, comme son sens mélodique, véhiculent l’âme d’une culture trop souvent bâillonnée ; ses compositions, quant à elles, empruntent leur rythmique à l’univers folk rock, avec des accents tantôt blues tantôt pop.
