The wild tale of Lynda Lemay is getting a fresh new look. Her show La vie est un conte de fous has evolved and is now called La onzième folie. You will still find the same Lynda Lemay, the same freedom, and the same musicians on stage. Yet the journey into the heart of life now takes different paths. The intensity remains the same, but with new feelings, emotions that somehow manage to be stronger than ever. It’s the same roller-coaster ride, but in a brand-new attraction. The lighting, masterfully designed by Pierre Roy, who has been at the helm for decades, reveals its full splendor, while the sound, handled by a true prodigy in the field, brings the instruments straight to the heart and Lynda’s voice straight to the gut. It’s the same world, but illuminated in new ways. In this new show, Lynda renews her interpretations, pushes improvisation even further, lets herself go, laughs freely, and connects with her loyal audience. On piano, guitar, and backing vocals, the warm and devoted Claude Pineault creates spontaneous arrangement miracles. The same goes for Marc Angers, who sways with emotion, chin resting on his magical violin. La onzième folie also coincides with Lynda’s eleventh tour of shows in her career. Clearly, the number eleven is a lucky charm.
