Artiste touche à tout, Katrine s’est fait connaître comme “la grande” dans le groupe Acadien, Les Hay Babies. Elle se lance enfin dans un projet solo après plus de 10 années à enchaîner les tournées et les albums avec son iconique trio. Noël – qui a collaboré avec une constellation d’artistes – a pris une nouvelle résolution : mener sa propre direction artistique et lâcher son lousse. Elle a foulé les planches de théâtre, mis en scène divers groupes de musique et réalisé des tonnes de chansons chez-elle, au studio La grosse rose. Maintenant, Katrine embrasse l’idée même de showmanship. Pour la toute première fois seule sur scène, elle se donne le défi d’emmener son public dans son p’tit monde; un village oublié dans un Nouveau-Brunswick riche en personnages. Elle travaille présentement sur son premier album, écrit entre deux plants de tomates dans son jardin au milieu de la campagne.
A jack-of-all-trades artist, Katrine became known as “la grande” in the Acadian band, Les Hay Babies. She’s finally embarking on a solo project after more than 10 years of touring and releasing albums with her iconic trio. Noël—who has collaborated with a constellation of artists—has made a new resolution: to lead her own artistic direction and let loose. She’s performed on stage, directed various bands, and written tons of songs at home, at La Grosse Rose studio. Now, Katrine embraces the very idea of showmanship. For the very first time alone on stage, she challenges herself to take her audience into her little world; a forgotten village in a New Brunswick rich in characters. She is currently working on her first album, written between two tomato plants in her garden in the middle of the countryside.
