Originaire de Saint-Hyacinthe, Alphonse Bisaillon a étudié la musique et la littérature. L’année 2022 marque un tournant décisif dans sa carrière : il participe à Ma Première Place-des-Arts et signe avec la maison de disques L-A be. Alphonse Bisaillon se distingue par l’utilisation d’images évocatrices, de trames narratives riches et de jeux de mots ingénieux. Chaque composition est minutieusement ciselée pour créer une expérience véritablement immersive. Alphonse Bisaillon ose explorer de nouveaux territoires sonores, mêlant habilement différents types d’influences musicales. C’est un projet de chanson qui doit beaucoup à Aznavour ; une symphonie éclectique qui séduit et surprend à chaque écoute. Son EP éponyme est paru le 28 octobre 2022 sous l’étiquette L-A be. Ce dernier a été réalisé par François Richard et enregistré aux Studio B-12 et Studio Le Hublot. Au nombre des distinctions reçues figurent l’Étoile Montante Stingray, le Prix Belle et Bum Télé-Québec, le Prix du public Hydro-Québec, la Bourse Sirius XM, le prix Chanson actuelle Sirius XM, le Prix Mouffe 2024 et le Prix Coup de pouce PURCOM à l’édition 2024 de Vue sur la relève. Par ailleurs, il se retrouve au nombre des Coup de cœur de l’année du journal Le Droit.

Originally from Saint-Hyacinthe, Alphonse Bisaillon studied music and literature. The year 2022 marked a turning point in his career: he took part in Ma Première Place des Arts and signed with the record label L-A be. Alphonse Bisaillon stands out through his use of evocative imagery, rich narrative threads, and clever wordplay. Each composition is carefully crafted to create a truly immersive experience. He dares to explore new sonic territories, skillfully blending a variety of musical influences. His project owes much to Aznavour—a bold, eclectic symphony that both charms and surprises with every listen. His self-titled EP was released on October 28, 2022, under the L-A be label. It was produced by François Richard and recorded at Studio B-12 and Studio Le Hublot. Among the awards he has received are the Stingray Rising Star Award, the Belle et Bum Télé-Québec Award, the Hydro-Québec Audience Award, the Sirius XM Grant, the Sirius XM Contemporary Song Award, the Mouffe Award 2024, and the PURCOM Boost Award at the 2024 edition of Vue sur la relève. He was also named one of the year’s “Coup de cœur” (favorites) by Le Droit newspaper.

Loïc Lafrance est un.e auteur.e-compositeur.rice-interprète sorti.e tout droit du Bas-Saint-Laurent. Maintenant installé.e à Québec, l’artiste s’est lancé dans l’autoproduction en 2020, et un album (Le monde des adultes) et un EP (THÉÂTRE/VIOLENCE) sont nés directement de sa chambre. Le EP juxtaposait ses parcours en art et en sociologie et iel y exprimait sa frustration d’un système où les marginaux n’ont pas les mêmes chances que les personnes qui se situent au centre du spectre de la normativité sociale. Le.a jeune bigarré.e s’est entre autres fait remarquer au Cabaret Festif où iel a été nommé.e coup de cœur du public, au Grand Concours du Festival international de la chanson de Granby et à la dixième saison de La Voix sur les ondes de TVA. En mai 2024, Loïc Lafrance s’est hissé à la troisième marche du podium lors de la 28e édition du prestigieux concours des Francouvertes à Montréal. En septembre 2024, iel dévoile « La peur est une fleur », un album réalisé par Julien Mineau (Malajube). La musique prend ses inspirations du rock des années 2000, avec une plume imagée et symbolique. Accompagnée d’un son brut alliant grunge et pop, sa performance est d’un théâtral sincère. C’est un projet multidisciplinaire qui conjugue un son engagé et désinvolte à une mise en scène lumineuse, survoltée et maximaliste.

Loïc Lafrance is a singer-songwriter from the Bas-Saint-Laurent region. Now based in Quebec City, the artist began self-producing in 2020, and an album (Le monde des adultes) and an EP (THÉÂTRE/VIOLENCE) were born directly from his bedroom. The EP juxtaposed his backgrounds in art and sociology, and in it, he expressed his frustration with a system where marginalized people don’t have the same opportunities as those at the center of the social norm. This young, colorful artist has garnered attention, among other things, at the Cabaret Festif, where he was named Audience Favorite, at the Grand Concours du Festival international de la chanson de Granby, and on the tenth season of La Voix on TVA. In May 2024, Loïc Lafrance reached the third step of the podium at the 28th edition of the prestigious Francouvertes competition in Montreal. In September 2024, they released “La peur est une fleur,” an album produced by Julien Mineau (Malajube). The music draws inspiration from 2000s rock, with a visual and symbolic style. Accompanied by a raw sound combining grunge and pop, their performance is sincerely theatrical. It’s a multidisciplinary project that combines a committed and casual sound with a luminous, high-energy, and maximalist staging.
