Suoni per il Popolo : Quatuor Bozzini + Sarah Hennies & Tristan Kasten-Krause à La Sala Rossa

La percussionniste et compositrice innovatrice Sarah Hennies se produit à Montréal avec son partenaire de duo, le contrebassiste Tristan Kasten-Krause, explorant le « trésor de possibilités que recèle la tranquillité de la perception. Aucun son ne peut être totalement différencié ; aucun instrument ne sonne comme s’il vivait dans son propre monde ». Dans la seconde partie du concert, le Quatuor Bozzini interprète la création canadienne de « Borrowed Light » de Hennies, inspirée d’une technique architecturale consistant à percer des fenêtres dans les murs intérieurs pour « emprunter » la lumière des pièces adjacentes.

Groundbreaking percussionist and composer Sarah Hennies performs in Montreal with her duo partner and double-bassist, Tristan Kasten-Krause, exploring the “treasure trove of possibilities in the quietness of perception. No two sounds can be wholly differentiated; no instrument sounds like it lives in its own world.” In the second half of the concert, Quatuor Bozzini performs the Canadian premiere of Hennies’ “Borrowed Light,” inspired by an architectural technique of building windows in interior walls to ‘borrow’ light from adjacent rooms.
