Retour à l’OSL du talentueux chef lavallois Andrei Feher pour diriger un concert aux élans romantiques avec l’Ouverture de l’opéra Genoveva, une des plus belles pages symphoniques écrites par Schumann suivie par le Concerto pour violoncelle de la pianiste et compositrice française Marie Jaëll, récemment découvert et interprété par l’étonnant Bryan Cheng. En seconde partie, l’OSL vous offre la Première symphonie de Brahms, chef d’œuvre de la musique orchestrale dans la plus pure tradition viennoise, accueillie par certains comme la Dixième de Beethoven.

The talented Laval-born conductor Andrei Feher returns to the OSL to lead a concert with romantic undertones. The program opens with the Overture to the opera Genoveva, one of Schumann’s finest symphonic works, followed by the Cello Concerto by French pianist and composer Marie Jaëll, a recently rediscovered piece performed by the remarkable Bryan Cheng. In the second half, the OSL presents Brahms’ First Symphony, a masterpiece of orchestral music in the purest Viennese tradition, hailed by some as Beethoven’s Tenth.

Atheist

Origin

Decrepit Birth

Merging brutal physical power with an unerringly precise attack, Decrepit Birth are a technical death metal band from Santa Cruz, California. By the end of 2010, Sam Paulicelli became the group’s new drummer, replacing KC Howard, and Sean Martinez took over from Horner on bass in 2013. While Decrepit Birth toured hard in support of Polarity, the group took a break after Sotelo became a father for the first time and wanted to stay home with his young son. However, he didn’t stop writing new songs while on paternity leave, and with Sotelo and Martinez recording in their respective home studios and Paulicelli cutting drum tracks at a studio in Canada, Decrepit Birth returned in 2017 with the album Axis Mundi.

Fractal Universe

Fractal Universe est un groupe français de metal progressif fondé en 2014.
Avec leur deuxième album Rhizomes Of Insanity sorti en 2019 chez Metal Blade Records, le groupe a créé l’une des œuvres les plus complexes et captivantes du metal progressif du XXIe siècle, tant sur le plan musical, lyrique qu’émotionnel. Le groupe a fortement tourné pour promouvoir cet album, rejoignant les poids lourds d’Obscura en février/mars 2020, participant ainsi à l’une des dernières tournées avant la pandémie, et satisfaisant leurs fans tout en gagnant de nombreux nouveaux adeptes. Avec son successeur, The Impassable Horizon, ils sont allés encore plus loin, suivant sans effort la trajectoire qu’ils s’étaient fixée pour créer un album captivant du début à la fin.

Le groupe texan de metalcore Invent Animate a émergé au milieu des années 2010 avec un son complexe et techniquement impressionnant, intégrant le djent, l’ambient, le métal progressif et le post-hardcore. Texas metalcore combo Invent Animate rose in the mid-2010s with an intricate, technically dazzling sound that incorporated djent, ambient, progressive metal, and post-hardcore. While enduring a handful of membership changes, they earned a reputation for detailed studio craft on albums like 2016’s Stillworld and 2020’s Greyview while also cementing a legacy as a fierce live act. After three albums on Tragic Hero, they signed with Australia’s UNFD and released 2023’s Heavener.

Silent Planet

Saint Motel est un groupe indie basé en Californie, dont le pop-art vivant et accrocheur est souvent accompagné d’éléments visuels innovants, tant sur scène que sous la forme de vidéos uniques créées par le groupe pour accompagner la plupart de leurs chansons. Après avoir signé avec le label major Parlophone, ils ont connu un hit dans les classements avec leur single de 2014, My Type, qui a trouvé un public au Royaume-Uni et dans certaines parties de l’Europe. Leur album de 2016, Saintmotelevision, comportait des vidéos en réalité virtuelle pour chaque morceau, faisant de lui le premier album VR jamais réalisé. Ils ont ensuite sorti les EPs Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, Pt. 1 et Pt. 2, qu’ils ont combinés pour créer leur troisième album, Original Motion Picture Soundtrack en 2021. Saint Motel are a California-based indie band whose vivid and catchy art-pop is often paired with innovative visual elements both on-stage and in the form of unique self-made videos that accompany most of their songs. After signing with major-label Parlophone, they landed a charting hit with their 2014 single « My Type, » which found an audience in the U.K. and parts of Europe. Their 2016 album, Saintmotelevision, featured virtual reality videos for every track, making it the first VR album ever made. They later released the EPs Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, Pt. 1 and Pt. 2, which they then combined to make their third album, 2021’s Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Starting with 2023’s « Everyone’s a Guru Now, » Saint Motel kicked off a new phase that has yielded singles like « Fine Wine » and 2024’s « Stay Golden. »

Pouya s’est fait connaître avec « Get Buck », titre phare de son EP Baby Bone, un morceau brutal et agressif, dépourvu de refrain. Le titre de cet EP sorti en 2013 faisait référence à son surnom et à son admiration pour Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Si l’influence de ce groupe pionnier du rap mélodique se ressent tout au long de sa discographie, le rappeur originaire de Miami s’est démarqué par un style personnel et créatif, ainsi que par sa grande capacité d’adaptation aux variations de ses producteurs. Entre 2016 et 2018, Pouya connaît le succès avec Underground Underdog, Drop Out of School (en collaboration avec Fat Nick) et Five Five, qui se hissent dans les classements Billboard. Durant cette période, il marque aussi les esprits avec « 1000 Rounds », un single réalisé avec Ghostemane. Lorsque ce titre est certifié or en 2021, son catalogue s’est enrichi de plusieurs projets indépendants, dont The South Got Something to Say et Blood Was Never Thick as Water.
