Never

· by Patrick Baillargeon

Having already made a name for herself with Jewellery, her first album released in 2009, Mica Levi (Micachu) reveals the full extent of her originality on Never. Overflowing with crazy ideas, adopting a completely unconventional musical vision, experimental even, Micachu and her Shapes still remain within the limits of “pop.” Some might hear a bit of grime, dubstep or electro, others will find accents of lo-fi indie rock, no wave… But in fact, Micachu & the Shapes sound like nobody else. They do their own thing, unique, great.
