Since every album from the Sherbrooke band’s discography is cited as an influence by musicians around the world, it is almost self-evident that one of their records has marked the decade. Colored Sands deserves its place even more because, in addition to bringing the singer, guitarist, composer and founder of Gorguts, Luc Lemay, back to music, it does so in an impressive way. Colored Sands represents the culmination of the evolution of a musician who masters his art and continues to experiment.
