As part of the German underground scene, Cio D’Or explores the depth of what techno has to offer, far from the pre-formatted productions for the dancefloor. She succeeds in the challenge of marrying soundscapes and powerful rhythm with precision. As was the case with her previous album, Die Faser (2009), she delivers here a treasure of dark, cinematic, and poetic electronic music, to the point of making the machines sound organic (they almost breathe). “Tomorrow Was Yesterday” is a perfect demonstration.
