On February 21, 2025, at McGill University’s new multimedia hall in Montreal, the Montreal / New Musics festival and Ensemble Éclats, directed by Charles-Éric Fontaine, will present the concert À l’écoute du geste. New music indeed, but from a perspective that leaves plenty of room for gesture and movement. Dance, of course, but not only dance. Musicians will be on the move, and we’ll be presenting the creation of a work for orchestra and… three Karlax! But what is a Karlax?
