Suoni Per Il Popolo : “13 Méditations lunaires : Summoning the Witches” par Ayelet Rose Gottlieb et Jay Clayton

“13 Méditations lunaires : Summoning the Witches” est un projet centré sur les femmes de toutes identités confondues qui met en vedette des poèmes écrits et choisis par plus de 20 femmes et filles du monde entier. La compositrice Ayelet Rose Gottlieb, basée à Montréal et née à Jérusalem, partage la scène avec la légende du jazz vocal Jay Clayton. Un chœur de chanteurs improvisateurs dirigé par DB Boyko de Vancouver se joindra aux deux puissantes vocalistes, avec la violoniste turque Eylem Basaldi, et les musiciens montréalais Bernard Falais à la guitare, Stéphane Diamantakiou à la contrebasse et Ivan Bamford à la batterie. Jay Clayton ouvre la soirée avec un set solo toujours aussi captivant.

“13 Lunar Meditations: Summoning the Witches” is a womxn-centric project that highlights poetry written and chosen by more than 20 women and girls from around the globe. Montreal-based, Jerusalem-born composer Ayelet Rose Gottlieb shares the stage with vocal-jazz legend Jay Clayton. A choir of improvising vocalists conducted by Vancouver’s DB Boyko will join the two powerful vocalists, with Turkish violinist Eylem Basaldi, and Montréal based musicians Bernard Falais on guitar, Stéphane Diamantakiou on contrabass and Ivan Bamford on drums. Jay Clayton opens the evening with an always-riveting solo set.
