Le festival Suoni Per Il Popolo est présenté par la Société des Arts Libres et Actuels (SALA), une organisation à but non-lucratif enregistrée en 2002. De ses racines ancrées dans diverses formes musicales exploratoires, la SALA s’engage à mettre de l’avant la musique d’avant-garde expérimentale dans un contexte communautaire!

Nous vivons à une époque de polarisation totale du sanglier. Une moitié des musiciens et des fans se sont retirés dans le confort du rock’n’roll d’antan, tandis que l’autre moitié pousse avec insistance vers un futur dirigé par le bruit intergalactique. Certains d’entre nous (toussa, toussa) pensent que ces systèmes de croyance disparates peuvent trouver un beau et optimiste terrain d’entente dans l’ICI et le MAINTENANT. C’est pourquoi Celluloid Lunch et Suoni Per Il Popolo vous proposent un spectacle sans parti pris sonore, au service d’une vision utopique de ce qui pourrait être : une enquête sur l’utilité de la guitare électrique pour la jeunesse cynique d’aujourd’hui !

The Suoni Per Il Popolo is presented by the Société des Arts Libres et Actuels (SALA), a Montreal based non-profit organization which was incorporated in 2002. Rooted in exploratory musical forms, the SALA is committed to presenting avant garde and experimental music and sound within a community context. 

We live in a time of full boar polarization. One half of musicians and fans alike have retreated into the comfort of rock n roll of yore while the other half push emphatically toward a future driven by intergalactic noise. Some of us (cough, cough) feel that these disparate belief systems can find a beautiful and optimistic middle ground in the HERE and the NOW. As such, Celluloid Lunch and Suoni Per Il Popolo bring you a show untethered by sonic partisanship, one that serves a utopian vision of what could be:A survey of the utility of the electric guitar for the cynical youth of today!
