Influencé par le tropicalisme, un mouvement qui célèbre l’universalité de la musique, l’auteur, compositeur, interprète et réalisateur originaire de São Paulo, virtuose de la guitare, est un brillant touche-à-tout. Autant il excelle à adapter avec finesse les chansons de Gilles Vigneault dans un style Bossa nova, comme en témoigne son album Samba sans frontières (2018), autant son dernier EP Raro Efeito (2021) est un vibrant mélange de samba-funk fusionné à l’électro et au hip-hop.
Winner of numerous grants, prizes and distinctions, Diogo Ramos is a multi-talented artist who loves to explore rhythms of all kinds. Inspired by the Tropicália movement that celebrates the universality of music, this singer-songwriter-composer-producer and guitar virtuoso from São Paulo is willing to try anything. That same finesse with which he was able to adapt Gilles Vigneault songs to bossa nova, which can be heard on his 2018 album Samba sans frontières, is just as evident on his latest album Raro Efeito (2021), a vibrant fusion of hip-hop, electro and samba funk.
