SI VOUS ARRÊTEZ, VOUS MEUREZ –
Le rock n’ roll ne sera jamais un jeu de fainéant. PONS est là pour remettre les pendules à l’heure.
Incarnant l’esprit sauvage et indomptable des maîtres de la route qui les ont précédés, PONS adopte une approche implacable et « SANS MERCY » des tournées DIY. Brûlant plus de calories en une soirée que la plupart des groupes en un an, PONS ne se contente pas de jouer de la musique : ils explosent sur scène.
Partageant la scène avec des poids lourds comme Gogol Bordello, Laura Jane Grace, Lambrini Girls, Geese, Vundabar et A Place To Bury Strangers, PONS ne fait pas de quartier et laisse derrière lui un sillage de matériel défoncé, de corps contorsionnés, de lumières aveuglantes et de beats explosifs. C’est la pure audace glam-rock qui se heurte au rythme dystopique de l’électronique.
S’inspirant de l’audace anarchique d’artistes comme Iggy Pop, Suicide et The Knife, PONS vous crache au visage la bile numérique de notre monde en déclin, saturé d’Internet.
Le premier LP de PONS, « The Liquid Self, » est sorti en 2023 sur Dedstrange (le label dirigé par Oliver Ackermann de A Place To Bury Strangers et Death By Audio). 2026 verra la sortie du nouvel LP de PONS sur Casa Gogol Records (un nouveau label dirigé par Eugene Hutz de Gogol Bordello). Plongée sans relâche dans la pop expérimentale et la dance industrielle, PONS s’attaque aux limites du son des clubs.

Jean-Paul Groove, c’est de la musique sans compromis. Leur EP “Violent Party Music” définit une nouvelle esthétique de la musique électronique jouée par une guitare, une basse et une batterie. En mélangeant des influences de musique purement électronique et des sonorités électroacoustiques comme Jojo Mayer and Nerve ou The Prodigy, Jean-Paul Groove se fait sa place dans la nouvelle scène musicale Bruxelloise, aux côtés de groupes comme Echt! ou Tukan. Leur show live est un shoot d’énergie à ne pas manquer!
Jean-Paul Groove is uncompromising music. Their EP “Violent Party Music” defines a new aesthetic of electronic music played with guitar, bass, and drums. By blending purely electronic influences with electroacoustic sounds reminiscent of Jojo Mayer and Nerve or The Prodigy, Jean-Paul Groove has carved out a place in the new Brussels music scene, alongside bands like Echt! and Tukan. Patche, c’est ben plus que des hommes-machines – même si y a ben de l’attirail électronique qui les entoure, y a aussi du feeling là-dedans sur un temps. Propulsé par cinq vieux amis qui officient auprès de ou en tant que Mon Doux Saigneur, Alex Burger, Klô Pelgag, Lumière, Duu et zouz, le combo instrumental montréalais plonge dans l’électro tous synthés modulaires devant, augmenté d’une drive punk grâce à l’apport de drum machine, batterie acoustique, basses électrique et synthétique et harmonica synthétisé (!). Patche, c’est de l’électro qui est à la fois psychédélique et motorik, forgé de rythmes hypnotiques et de loops atypiques, convoquant tour à tour rock expérimental, techno de la Berlin School, art-rock, avant-garde et EDM dans un giron tourbillonnant. Le groupe a foulé d’importantes scènes au Québec (Festival de Jazz de Montréal, La Noce, FME) aussi bien qu’outre-Atlantique (Pelpass Festival, Bars en Trans, Reeperbahn, Rockomotives…), cumulant au passage des tournées européennes et au UK : des shows hypnotiques, immersifs, qui induisent inévitablement la danse, voire la transe – et dont le public est une part intégrante. Faisant suite à Patche (2023) et Document (2024), Mode, son troisième album, est attendu pour octobre 2025 sous popop.
Patche is much more than just machine-men – even though there’s plenty of electronic gear around them, there’s also real feeling in the timing. Driven by five longtime friends who have worked with or as Mon Doux Saigneur, Alex Burger, Klô Pelgag, Lumière, Duu, and Zouz, the Montreal-based instrumental combo dives into synth-heavy electro, augmented with a punk drive thanks to drum machines, acoustic drums, electric and synth bass, and even a synthesized harmonica. Patche’s music is both psychedelic and motorik, built on hypnotic rhythms and atypical loops, drawing from experimental rock, Berlin School techno, art-rock, avant-garde, and EDM in a swirling blend. The band has played major stages in Quebec (Montreal Jazz Festival, La Noce, FME) as well as abroad (Pelpass Festival, Bars en Trans, Reeperbahn, Rockomotives…), accumulating European and UK tours along the way. Their shows are hypnotic, immersive, and inevitably induce dancing – even trance – with the audience as an integral part of the experience. Following Patche (2023) and Document (2024), their third album, Mode, is expected in October 2025 on Popop.
