Le Winston Band, c’est un groupe québécois qui puise dans le riche héritage culturel louisianais pour créer des chansons rassembleuses en s’inspirant du zydeco : appelons ça du zydeco montréalais, créolisé par la métropole et adapté à ses alentours. Initiée en 2012, la formation a plus de 600 spectacles à son actif, ayant fait voyager sa musique à travers le Canada, la France, la Belgique, la Suisse, les Pays-Bas, l’Allemagne, la Tchéquie, le Danemark et les États-Unis – en plus d’orchestrer une célébration montréalaise du Mardi Gras depuis 2014. Alliant compositions vivifiantes et racines revisitées, les gars cumulent les parutions, dont Zig Zag Zydeco Zoo (2019), Winston Express (2023) et Enwèye à Lafayette (2021, primé comme Meilleur album – Musique du monde au GAMIQ). Ils lanceront à l’hiver 2026 Attention, c’est chaud!, leur quatrième long-jeu (et premier sous la bannière Simone Records). Le Winston Band is a Quebecois group that draws on the rich cultural heritage of Louisiana to create unifying songs inspired by zydeco : let’s call it Montreal-style zydeco, creolized by the city and adapted to its surroundings. Formed in 2012, the band has played over 600 shows, taking their music across Canada, France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic, Denmark, and the United States – in addition to hosting a Montreal Mardi Gras celebration since 2014. Combining lively original compositions with revisited roots, the group has released several records, including Zig Zag Zydeco Zoo (2019), Winston Express (2023), and Enwèye à Lafayette (2021, awarded Best World Music Album at the GAMIQ). They will release their fourth full-length, and first under Simone Records, Attention, c’est chaud!, in winter 2026.
