Jacob Wutzke Quintet rend hommage au son hard-bop swinguant des années 1950 et 1960, avec un répertoire composé pour moitié de compositions du légendaire batteur de jazz Tony Williams et pour moitié de compositions originales de Wutzke. The Jacob Wutzke Quintet pays homage to the swinging hard-bop sound of the 1950’s and 60’s, featuring a repertoire of half compositions by legendary jazz drummer Tony Williams, and half original compositions by Wutzke. Featuring a collection of some of Canada’s premier improvising musicians, this promises to be a hard-hitting performance to remember. The Quintet will be recording a full-length album together in late 2022.
