En 2013, Donovan Thorne a pris son banjo et a quitté sa Saskatchewan natale pour s’installer à Montréal. S’intégrant à la scène Folk Roots, sa musique originale a mûri jusqu’à atteindre le niveau de la tradition. Vivant au gré des saisons dans les régions rurales de Terre-Neuve, son écriture explore les thèmes de la nature et de la famille. En 2023, il a lancé Come Home & Gone, un EP de six chansons qui explore les relations avec la terre et la communauté.

In 2013, Donovan Thorne picked up his banjo and moved to Montreal from his home in Saskatchewan. Integrating with the Folk Roots scene, his original music has matured into the stuff that is made of tradition. Living seasonally in rural Newfoundland, his songwriting explores themes of nature and home. In 2023, he released Come Home & Gone, a six song EP that explores relationships to land and community.
