Colin Léo, c’est un pont vers la sensibilité, vers l’acceptation, c’est un pont asymétrique entre le beau et le laid. Tout juste la vingtaine, chanteur, compositeur, interprète, il marie sonorités hip-hop, jazz et R&B pour engendrer l’un des plus unique et captivant son de la nouvelle vague urbaine de la Métropole. Paru au printemps, son Rideaux blancs, aux airs de Magritte en VHS en vidéo, extension directe de son précédent Becs & Bobos et d’un petit phénomène dans l’espace web titré « Attends », entrelace indie, rap et lo-fi, jetant sur l’amour un regard candide et lumineux.
Colin Léo is a bridge toward sensitivity, toward acceptance, an asymmetrical bridge between beauty and ugliness. Barely in his twenties, singer, songwriter, performer, he blends hip-hop, jazz, and R&B sounds to create one of the most unique and captivating voices of the new urban wave in the Metropolis. Released in the spring, his Rideaux blancs, with the vibe of Magritte on VHS in its video—directly extends his previous Becs & Bobos and a small online phenomenon titled Attends. It intertwines indie, rap, and lo-fi, casting a candid, luminous gaze on love.

Underground, indépendante, Sensei H (Révélation Radio-Canada 2025-2026) s’attache au propos, cherche à s’élever dans l’écriture, dans l’honnêteté et la précision des termes. Puisant de l’univers du théâtre et du documentaire, elle revient avec la volonté ferme de montrer le rap autrement ; faire vivre une expérience hors du commun étant au cœur de l’intention. Après La mort du troisième couplet, un long jeu qui explore l’éclectisme, de la house aux sonorités trap rock en passant par du hip-hop pur, transposé sur scène dans l’acoustique et l’électronique, viendra d’ici peu à nouveau (vu la réédition) L’amour du troisième couplet, un puissant texte initialement paru à l’automne 2024.
