Porté par des teintes folks et des élans rock, ce nouvel opus dévoile une voix chaude et douce, ainsi qu’une plume orfévrée, drôle et touchante à travers laquelle il aborde l’amour, la route, le quotidien et la dérape. Habituellement épaulé par ses fidèles et rodés Prix Staff, il se présente aux Veillées en formule solo, une manière dépouillée et intime d’exposer ses chansons, leur donnant un relief nouveau et une proximité rare avec le public, qui aura également l’occasion de vivre l’expérience de création à travers de nouvelles chansons. Winner of the Félix Award for Country Album of the Year in 2021 for his debut album, Sweet Montérégie, Alex Burger is celebrating the end of the tour for Ça s’invente pas, his second album. Driven by folk influences and rock rhythms, this new work reveals a warm, gentle voice and finely crafted, droll, and touching lyricism through which Burger explores love, the road, everyday life, and the unexpected turns we sometimes face. Usually backed by his faithful and seasoned band Prix Staff, he’s making a solo appearance at Les Veillées, with a stripped-down and intimate performance of his songs from Ça s’invente pas, giving them new depth, appearing in rare proximity to audience members, who will also get to experience his creative process as he performs a few new songs.
