Tout le monde au FIMAV se souvient de l’époustouflant concert d’Oxbow en 2013. Dix ans plus tard, son leader EUGENE ROBINSON n’a rien perdu de sa verve, de sa puissance vocale ou de son hypnotisante présence sur scène.
Dans BUÑUEL, sa poésie se déploie sur de puissantes compositions signées et jouées par trois musiciens basés en Italie. Le touche-à-tout XABIER IRIONDO est surtout connu pour son poste de guitariste au sein d’Afterhours, mais il a aussi collaboré avec de nombreuses figures de l’avant-garde de là-bas, de Gianni Gebbia à Zu. Le bassiste ANDREA LOMBARDINI est issu de la scène jazz, où il joue avec The Framers et collabore avec Alessandro Rossi, mais à entendre ses lignes tonitruantes, il connaît bien son rock métal. Enfin, le batteur FRANCESCO VALENTE est surtout connu pour son groupe Il Teatro Degli Orrori.
BUÑUEL roule sa bosse depuis le milieu des années 2010 et a trois albums à son actif, de quoi bien nous farcir les oreilles. Préparez-vous à hocher la tête!

Everyone at FIMAV remembers Oxbow’s phenomenal performance in 2013. Ten years later, their frontman EUGENE ROBINSON hasn’t lost any of his haranguing power, vocal prowess or hypnotizing stage presence.
In BUÑUEL, his poetry unfolds over powerful compositions penned and performed by three Italy-based musicians. Renaissance man XABIER IRIONDO is mostly known for his guitar work in Afterhours, but he has also worked with leading lights of the Italian avant-garde, from Gianni Gebbia to Zu. Bassist ANDREA LOMBARDINI comes from the jazz scene, where he plays in The Framers and works with Alessandro Rossi, but you wouldn’t guess that from the thundering bass lines he brings to the fore. Finally, drummer FRANCESCO VALENTE is mostly known for his band Il Teatro Degli Orrori.
BUÑUEL has been around since the mid-2010s and has released three studio records so far, enough material to stuff your ears full. Headbangers, get ready!
