Feels Good! is, as the title suggests, here to make you feel good. I have a weakness for well-realized, intelligent pop that shows no signs of laziness. And this album hits the nail on the head. Jessie Ware leads a 40-minute party of ecstasy, sensuality, emancipation and tenderness, from which you can’t leave without being charmed. This album knows how to speak to us, and how to keep us coming back for more. No wonder it made the shortlist for the prestigious Mercury Prize.
