Except for a jarring collaboration with the idiosyncratic Howe Gelb, this is the only record the Viennese trio has released over the past decade. They don’t disappoint, though. It is a pleasure getting reacquainted with their signature approach, assembling all kinds of incidental sounds, noises, and fragments of various aural textures, and making them soar, dance, swell and thunder, then fade away.
