Also singer and guitarist of the group H’Sao, the Chadian-born Montrealer Caleb Rimtobaye ventured in Afro-futurism by hybridizing the original Trans-Saharan blues, updated in recent years by Tuareg musicians from Mali, Niger, Algeria and Morocco. Expressed in the Sara language, his AfrotroniX project is a lively synthesis of this desert music and other rhythms rooted in West Africa, as well as different variations of the Afro-electro movement, which is growing more and more significant across the continent. NomadiX is just the beginning of this exciting adventure.
