This third album positions the prolific Californian slightly outside the primitive garage sphere advocated on his first two efforts. Here, Seagall ventures towards a certain psychedelia, but never moves too far from the fuzz and the fury. On Melted, the multi-instrumentalist slows down the rhythm without losing power, refines his melodies, butchers his countless rock references and spits it all out in a saturated and psychedelic lo-fi production, carrying some great songwriting chops
