Between heaven and earth (that’s what the title means), but all in gentleness and serenity. Lapeluda’s—a singer-songwriter from Montreal and of Colombian origin music—doesn’t rush but certainly touches the heart. After the inaugural Caidas of 2022, a release tinged by the pandemic and which received a well-deserved nomination at the 2023 Latin Awards Canada for nothing less than album of the year, here is a short EP of five songs, steeped in an atmosphere of tender melancholy. If the young lady allowed herself some exploratory inclinations in Caidas, Entre cielo y tierra brings her back to a more economical folk universe, but all the more intimate. Her voice, of great sweetness and radiating obvious sincerity, is malleable in the high notes, with very beautiful tonal security. A new folk voice to follow with interest. It will also be possible if you are in Montreal on Friday, October 3, 2025. Lapeluda will perform Entre cielo y tierra (and surely Caidas) at Bourgie Hall. The benevolent atmosphere of this hall should perfectly suit the artist’s musical style.
