A guest of the Dorothy Morton Visiting Artist Series, pianist Krzysztof Jablonski is a big catch. The 54-year-old Polish virtuoso was a laureate of the 1985 Frederic Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw. Early in his career, he was a champion at international competitions in Milan, Palm Beach, Monza, Dublin, New York and Calgary, not to mention his gold medal at the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Tel Aviv. Over the past three decades, Jablonski has been a soloist with many orchestras under the most eminent conductors – Gergiev, Boreyko, Semkow, Kaspszyk, Maksymiuk, Nowak, Brueggen, etc. – and has taken part in the International Piano Competition in Tel Aviv.
