Like a UFO that landed on stage, Karl Gagnon’s project challenged Quebec pop standards with an eclectic, energetic, crazy approach, as sweet as it is rough. Within the same song, one finds patchwork of influences: grunge, drum & bass, Mr. Bungle-style avant-rock and more, all topped by the impressive vocal flexibility of the soloist. The intensity of the musicianship, the precision of the interpretation, and the originality of the creations here are truly bold moves. Artistic panache in French-speaking America.
