Benoît Pinette, alias Tire le coyote, is the best representative of French-language musical Americana in Quebec, including its constituent styles — folk, country, and rock, in this case. Without complacency, in all sincerity, poetically, the countertenor fully addresses the fragility of the highest sentiments that unite humans in intimacy. From several thoughtful and generous literary angles, Pinette also reflects on the need to take care of our relationships, in order to make them last… which is obviously never a guarantee, as we know.
