Edith Piaf shattered all records: for seduction, passion, suffering, madness, provocation and desire (Robert Belleret, Piaf, un mythe français), and is still the best-known French singer in the world. Vladimir Kornéev wishes to pay tribute to this immense artist, because Piaf’s songs and life are also a bit of the history of French chanson.

Georgian-born singer and actor Vladimir Kornéev recently wowed Quebec audiences with his performance in Parapapam at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, alongside Patrick Bruel, Marie-Josée Lord and Mario Pelchat.

In new arrangements specially created for this show, Vladimir Kornéev revisits Piaf’s repertoire, from the most famous songs (Mon Dieu, La vie en rose, L’Hymne à l’amour…) to some lesser-known ones (Le droit d’aimer) or songs she performed but never recorded (Où sont tous mes amants, Comme un moineau…). Vladimir Kornéev will also take us on a tour of his life and career, and the parallels with Piaf’s life, in this concert presented for the first time in Quebec.

Piaf as we’ve never heard her before, sung by an exceptional male voice, for a whole new look at this extraordinary woman and career.
